(Healthy Times) The alkaline water machine craze is not letting up. Millions of these devices are being sold each month, with new manufacturers and distributors popping up all the time. This Healthy Times investigation of the alkaline water machine market is long overdue!
What I’ve learned is that thousands of people are being taken advantage of every day due to the extremely inflated cost of these devices. If you are interested in purchasing an alkaline water machine, this article will save you thousands of dollars.
• An average alkaline water machine sells for between $2000-4000 US dollars. Most are sold through network marketing companies, so along with the purchase of the alkaline water machine you get a sales pitch for becoming a distributor as well.
• The average alkaline water machine is electrical. They work, essentially, by electrolysis. You plug the machine into a standard wall outlet so that it can electrically separate the acid portion of the water from the alkaline. This results in two streams of water. One stream is alkaline and one is acidic.
• An average alkaline water machine requires plumbing for installation. There are counter top versions, but the need for proximity to a water source and an electrical outlet makes for inconvenient placement in an average kitchen.
• The sales pitches for the alkaline water machine vary widely, but almost always include tall tales of healing and benefits for which you will never be provided evidence.
The health benefits of alkaline water seem to be many, which will be the subject of a different article. As far as the alkaline water machine itself, there are MUCH better and cheaper alternatives than the standard MLM version. Personally, I don’t trust that the MLM stories are accurate and I know the prices of their machines are extraordinarily inflated. This is why they need to have such fantastic stories to go with them.
Why pay $4000 for an alkaline water machine when you can pay $199 and get a better and more natural system? This is why, so far, the Santevia system gets my vote. It is not MLM. No salesperson needs to come to your house and the system does not require plumbing or electricity. Beyond that, the method Santevia uses to purify and alkalize the water is based on environmentally friendly principles, deserving of Santevia’s claim to be pure earth water.
So, do yourself a favor. Before you buy an alkaline water machine of any kind, check out the Santevia system.
